Join the Weizmann Institute for the Future of Computing.
Visionary Weizmann Institute of Science researchers are building the future of technology: quantum computers, which will be exponentially more powerful than today’s machines. Electronic computers simply cannot get much smaller or faster; quantum computers will be significantly more muscular, able to perform simultaneous functions that today’s computers cannot. But first, scientists have to build one.
Weizmann scientists are making steady steps in that direction; for example, Prof. Moty Heiblum produced one of the world’s purest crystals of gallium arsenide – a semiconductor – which has many advantages over silicon in high-speed operations; Dr. Roee Ozeri is tackling one of the greatest challenges in developing quantum computers: finding appropriate units, or bits, for storing information; and Prof. Nir Davidson is using lasers to trap cold atoms that might be able to store quantum information accurately for extended periods. And recently, Dr. Barak Dayan developed the world’s first photonic router – a major step down the road to quantum computing!
Help us advance technology and be a part of this fantastic leap into the future!
